Round numbers off in CM2

Here is a game of 7 families that I accomplished (support) as part of customised help in CM2. Purpose is to find roundnesses of big numbers (up to the one million).
The document contains rule of the game, and cards to be cut up and supplemented by the pupils.

Discovery and memorisation of doubles

Here is a file very simple packaging 2 parts:

- collective tags for the class of PO BOX, including doubles from 1+1 to 10+10, and their results to be linked;
- a game of m mory to be printed on paper of colour (see file). The children play it in group to link every double to its result.

    Triviality Pursuit on agreements

    As part of school support, I took care of some pupils of CM1 AND CM2 around agreements: determiners, masculine or female of the name, peculiar and plural, agreement of qualifying adjectives, conjugation, endings, perfect participles,

    Here is the questions of a trivial game Continues to work these notions in cycle 3. The set and the pawns of classical game is needed to play it.

    To note that brown series speaks about agreements of the perfect participle which is not any more in the programme, grieved, I made ardour! ;-)

    Game of dominoes numbers from 1 to 10 in full

    Here is a game of dominoes to link the writings of the number in figures or in letters, for numbers from 1 to 10
    Tested today in class, he requires some examples so that the pupils understand well that it is not possible to link 2 numbers or 2 literal writings.

    Sometimes game is blocked, and if there is not pecker anymore, it is necessary to restart new dominoes.

    File PDF: 1 A4 for 2 pupils

    It is possible to put in front, or to accompany game, by the chip linked  write numbers from 1 to 10 , with column to make to write the number, after a collective landmark of difficulties.

    File PDF: 1 A4 for 2 pupils, format A4 for small notebooks

    File updated on the 30/11/08, thank you Nath!

    Cards and Crapette

    For some time, we play cards in class
    Here is the small chip to take stock of the situation on the names of cards, as well as a training concerning the Crapette (it is a question, as in classical success, of alternating colours in diminishing order).

    File PDF to be downloaded by clicking on link above

    The best training remains however card games!

    Chip of points for Yams

    2 chips PDF in format A5, to reduce if need in format A6.

    This year, we play the school in Yam' s. Here is a chip to allow the pupils to count their points. Attention: the rule was adapted for the primary

    The game of Yam' s is played with 5 dices.
    Every child can draw dices 3 times, by keeping to every printing the dices which he wants, to achieve one of the following combinations:

    • a continuation (1 - 5 or 2 - 6);
    • a brelan (3 identical dices);
    • a full (3 and 2 group identical dices);
    • a square (4 identical dices);
    • a Yams (5 identical dices);
    • most than 1 possibles
    • idem for 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

    If none of the combinations is possible, it is necessary to sacrifice one by blocking score.
    Game is played in 2 (or more), the winning is the one who counts most points at the end of the part.

    For the pupils of nursery schools, we play in the order of combinations (ex: first printing, they try to keep dices to make a continuation).

    Introduction in the game of Mah-jong

    The Mah-jong is a game of Chinese dominoes, which is played to 4 players.
    I sometimes offer this activity in my PO BOX, to work some mathematical objectives (continuation, counting of points), but also fine observation of rooms.

    These chips offer a discovery of game, the vocabulary of rooms, combinations, and two chips of training for the pupils A to supplement by a game in class!

    4 chips for small notebooks (format A5)

    Welcome on my small satchel. You will find chips here, mainly for the PO BOX. Do not hesitate to make a request above if you are in search of a definite document.

    I wish you a very good school year on 2009-2010!
